How to Use Seeeduino XIAO – LED Blink

In this Tutorial we will learn how to use Seeeduino XIAO by making a Simple LED Blink project.

Step 1: What You Will Need

Seeeduino XIAO1K ohm resistor

  • Seeeduino XIAO
  • LED
  • 1K ohm resistor
  • Breadboard
  • Jumper Wires
  • Visuino program: Download Visuino

Step 3: The Circuit

XIAO-LED-CIRCUIT

  • Connect XIAO board pin [GND] to LED negative pin [-]
  • Connect XIAO board pin [7] to 1k ohm resistor
  • Connect 1k ohm resistor second pin to LED positive pin [+]

Step 4: Start Visuino, and Select the Seeeduino XIAO Board Type

The Visuino: https://www.visuino.eu also needs to be installed. Download Free version or register for a Free Trial.

Start Visuino as shown in the first picture Click on the “Tools” button on the Arduino component (Picture 1) in Visuino When the dialog appears, select “Seeeduino XIAO” as shown on Picture 2

Step 5: In Visuino Add,Set & Connect Components

  • On the right side of Visuino type “Pulse Generator” in the search box and drag the component to the main Area (Picture1)
  • Connect “PulseGenerator1” component Pin [Out] to “Seeeduino XIAO” Digital Pin [7] (Picture 2 and Picture 3)

Step 6: Generate, Compile, and Upload the Arduino Code

In Visuino, at the bottom click on the “Build” Tab, make sure the correct port is selected, then click on the “Compile/Build and Upload” button.

Step 7: Play

If you power the Seeeduino XIAO module, the LED will start to blink.
